In response to the proposed amendments to anti-money laundering (AML) laws for cryptocurrency companies, Taiwan has taken a proactive step by establishing an association aimed at promoting self-regulation within the industry. This initiative comes amidst growing concerns over the potential penalties, including imprisonment of up to two years, that may be imposed on non-compliant firms. With the goal of fostering responsible and transparent practices, this association seeks to safeguard the integrity of the cryptocurrency market in Taiwan.
